I got 100% woohoo! Yeah, I've been told before that if I'm gonna fill my tank (in the heat of the summer) to do it in the morning or night when the sun isn't as strong. Its also really important that your tires are always inflated
ReplyDeleteI got one wrong. The one regarding manual vs. automatic cars. I did find that pretty surprising to learn that it is better to fill up your car in the morning or evening due to hot temperatures evaporating the gas when transfering into your car. I found these tips to be super helpful, especially because my car is older and a slight 'gas-guzzler.' So I'm always searching for ways to reduce the overall gas price and consumption! So thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteI got one wrong, the first one. I know it's better to drive slower but when I have a 4 1/2 hour drive home I'd rather make it there earlier than later. I just don't like to drive slow, it's a bad habit! It's interesting that filling your tank up at cooler times of day is better, too.
ReplyDeleteI also, as Sonny did, got the one wrong regarding the manual vs. automatic cars. I thought for sure manual cars used less gas but I guess it does not matter! This was a fun website!
ReplyDeleteI got two wrong, so I didnt do to shabby. I was surprised to learn something little like changing your air filter decreases your fuel consumption.
ReplyDeleteI got one wrong, the same as Dani and Sonny. Although I know that driving slower helps with gas consumption, I still have a lead foot. I hate long-distance driving, so oftentimes I speed to get there sooner. I need to start changing this habit!
ReplyDeleteWow, I am not good at this at all. I didn't know that filling your gas during different times of the day can be a big effect on the evaporate rate of your gasoline. I learned a lot from this. This is something interesting that I need to share to my family. Thanks!
